Communications Intern

We are looking for our next Communications Intern who is looking to become the next superstar. Are you someone who has a passion for making people say, “wow” through your work? If so, Implico Communications Inc. is looking for candidates like you!

Our paid, full-time remote internship runs from June 2022 through December 2022 and is designed to give you the authentic experience of working in an agency.

All Communications Intern positions are at Implico’s headquarters based in Dallas, TX. Applicants need to be willing to relocate during the course of the internship and provide their own transportation and accommodations to complete a 40-hour work week. This is a paid internship.

Why you will love this job

As an intern you will gain an understanding of how to organize, define and set expectations for a project with a client.  You will also have an opportunity to participate with hands-on experience in the entire process from project intake, scheduling, revisions, and proofing.  Additionally, as an intern you will be exposed to print vendors and how to spec print jobs.

What you will do
  • Gain hands-on experience managing communication projects
  • Learn project intake and project set up including how to create project timelines
  • Gain experience in working with the project management systems – Workfront Proof and Wrike
  • Interact with print vendors including learning how to properly request quotes for print
  • Facilitate the proofing process
  • Participate in client meetings to gain an understanding of how scope of service is determined
Your Skills
  • Senior or graduate student studying Communications, Business, English, Marketing or Advertising
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA

Graphic Designer Intern

We are looking for a creative and motivated Graphic Design Interns to join our team. The ideal candidate should have an artistic eye, a talent for creative problem-solving, high attention to detail and superb communication skills.

The ideal candidate must be able to work self-directed in a fast-paced environment, be skilled at both creative designs and production, think critically, and work both collaboratively or as part of a team.

As a graphic design intern, you take your learning to the next level. As an intern in graphic design, you will work on projects requiring a high degree of creativity and problem-solving skills. You will learn how to develop solutions and strategies to complex design challenges while applying your knowledge of visual principles, design conventions, and industry standards. Your work may include creating digital assets and designing logos and brochures.

What will you do
  • You will become certified in Adobe Indesign and MS Word, and PPT.
  • Provide fresh, inspired designs based on client needs for guide covers and sample layouts, posters, postcards, and newsletters.
  • Responsible for the conception, development and creation of client-specific health and wellness brands, including the development of name, logo, collateral and communication material
  • Learn to complete edits and revisions using Workfront Proof.
  • Learn project management by working in our Project Management system – Wrike.
  • Become equally skilled in both production work and higher-end design.

Proofreader Intern

Are you a passionate, detail-oriented proofreader looking for an amazing opportunity? If so, we have the perfect internship for you! Our company seeks an exceptional candidate to join us in our mission to ensure top-notch quality control in our writing.

The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, accuracy and proper grammar usage as they review written content from our team. They must be able to identify typos and other common writing mistakes while ensuring that all documents meet standards regarding syntax, style and overall readability.

What will you do

They should also have the focus and insight to recognize potential errors in fact and logic when they occur. Experience proofreading various fast-turn jobs in a high-volume agency environment is preferred.

Your Skills
  • Strong experience with AP standards in proofing and editing, including print, collateral and web
  • Superior attention to detail and expert-level command of written communication
  • Ability to proofread/edit in a variety of formats and media, including PDF, PowerPoint, web pages, and Microsoft Word
  • Familiarity with design and typography fundamentals
  • Ability to adapt, prioritize, manage and efficiently complete multiple projects to meet shifting needs and deadlines
  • Must be able to work in a face-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently from others with little or no supervision
